Your German Car of Choice

What sort of German car turns your crank? Are you the type who likes handling and presence? Then you might want the BMW. Do you like gobs of power with understated refinement? Then try a Mercedes. Or are you the type to say “I’m different”? Then the Audi may be your answer. No matter where you live, you can enjoy all of these vehicles year round. All of them feature four wheel drive and all of them can be equipped with engines ranging from 4 cylinders to 8 cylinders and beyond. If you are looking to outfit your ride with all the bells and whistles, the best thing to do is wait until you are off the dealer lot. This is because BMW parts, Mercedes Benz Parts and especially Audi wheels are much cheaper after market. Plus, because of the wide selection you can find on the Internet, you will be able to make your ride much more unique than what you could get from the dealer. So, whether you like your cars with a little Munich flavor or want that Bavarian touch, you will find exactly what you are looking for with any of these three great German brands.

RC at the lake

I have to confess that I enjoy things that I can control by remote. For example, I adore television. In fact, I have 5 remotes for that thing! I also enjoy anything that resembles a vehicle that I can control. From planes to cars to boats, if it is remote controlled, I will be playing with it. And because we happen to have a place on a lake, I have a great selection of RC boats to choose from. Most of them are the kind that go really fast and I like to get together with a couple of other people and race. Of course, if I feel like taking it easy, I also have a bunch of RC sailboats that cruise along at a much more leisurely pace. These are great for when the sun is shining and you just want to relax. Just down the way from us is a guy who owns an amazing RC airplane as well. His is a model of a P-51 Mustang and it can go over 100 miles per hour! He also has a sea plane model that lands on the lake. If I wanted to get into model RC airplanes, he would be the guy to get advice from.

Look Out Squirrels

As much as it pains me to say it, the VW parts that I need are going to cost an arm and a leg. However, I have found a site called My Hot VW, and I think they are pretty good. They have been around for awhile and seem to have a decent selection of the parts I need. Plus, I can get them here much cheaper than at the dealership. Overall, it should turn out to be ok. The other thing that I picked up was a couple of paintball guns. Why did I get them? Well, to be honest…there are some pesky squirrels in my back yard and I really want them to learn that if you mess with my plants, you are going to turn green…literally – because I have green paintballs.

Need Car To Run Better

I need some new car parts to make mine run better. Actually, I specifically need Volkswagen parts and I need them to be powerful. Currently my car is not running as smooth as it could and it sounds like one of those nitro RC cars when you stomp on the gas. I figure that I need a new exhaust system and could probably do with some new lowering springs as well. Those two things will help my car to go faster in a straight line and be quicker through the corners as well. Now I just need to scrounge up the money to get them.

Poker Anyone?

Seriously. If anyone plays or is a regular poker person, can you recommend me a good poker chip set. I have been looking over the Internet and these poker chip sets seem to be some of the better ones, but again I have no idea. They seem to have a wide selection and good prices, and they also have a bunch of choices as far as size of the chip sets are concerned. So what's the verdict? Should I go for it? I think I might. Let me know what you think if you would.

Oh Snap Batman! A Shelby Mustang

Shelby Mustang

Normally, I wouldn’t pay too much attention to a Ford Mustang, but just the other day I saw a white Mustang with blue stripes down the hood and body. I’m fairly certain that it was a Shelby Cobra. It may have even been the GT500KR. As any car aficionado can tell you, that is one badass car. I couldn’t tell for sure, but I think that the Mustang wheels that it had on it were not stock. Again, I couldn’t tell for sure since it was moving – and fairly rapidly at that – but they were large and chrome looking. They looked hot, and would probably look great paired with any Mustang body kits that are on the market. However, it being a Shelby, it already had enough SVT Ford Mustang parts attached to it to put many of the aftermarket tuners to shame. The only other Mustang I have ever seen that was that nice was actually at a car show though, so I guess I can’t say that for certain. Sometimes, when all of the Ford Mustang parts are put onto the car just perfectly, it can transform even the most modest Mustang into a car that people would think twice about going after. I know that from seeing that other Mustang at the car show that I would certainly think twice about the next Mustang I see on the road because you just never know if it is a true performance machine or has been dressed up to make it look faster. Either way, when people put on aftermarket Mustang body kits, they really make their Ford stand apart.

Car and Truck Grilles

Picture
A lot of people want to make a difference with their car or truck and change the way that it looks. Not only is changing the looks fun to do, it doesn’t have to cost a lot or take a lot of time. Of course it all depends on how much you want to change the look of your vehicle, but if you just want to add a touch of class or a sporty look, you can’t miss with a grille.

The grill is the part of your car or truck that usually in between the headlights. Some of the most famous grilles in the automotive business include the kidney-shaped BMW grill and the inverted triangle on Alfa Romeos. The grill is usually the defining feature on the front of a car and is where the brand is made. People will know a car brand just by the shape of the front grille. This is why upgrading it to make it more stylish or sporty is such a great way to add more to your ride.

While there are many car manufacturers out there that have spent a lot of time placing the grill on the vehicle and making sure that it looks great, many others are just an afterthought or are not very stylish. Luckily, the aftermarket community has many examples of grills for just about every make and model on the market. As with most things, if you happen to own a car or truck that is more popular, there will be many more styles available for you to choose from, but finding one to put on should be no big deal.

The same can be said of the actual install because many car and truck grilles are simply attached with a couple of screws and fasteners. This means that the removal and reinstallation will only take a few minutes. This sort of upgrade is perfect for the time-conscious consumer who has little time to spare. When you want your vehicle to stand out, the difference is going to be in the details. For example, if you have a dark colored vehicle, a blacked out or carbon fiber grille will give a sporty, aggressive look. On the other hand, if you have a show car, or a truck, you may want to try out a chrome grill.

Whichever route you happen to take, there are many different design variations within each grill type as well. From solid chrome to spider webs to NASCAR emblems and even carbon honeycomb patterns, truck and car grills will add variation to your vehicle immediately and are some of the best car and truck accessories you can install.

I'll get this out of the way now. This page is going to be home to a lot of various content. I like to try things out and write about things like air hockey tables, custom car accessories and even caviar. These thoughts are always accessible so I hope that you read them and share you thoughts back with me.
